As long as you take note of the firing order (which is 4, 1, 2, 3) you can take the wires and coils off safely

@@you_tube6733 putting the coils on the ignition control module, no. Firing order matters, and if you don't get the firing order right the car runs like ass or won't start at all

I've recently heard on 3.8L (3800 GM) engines to use thermal paste where the icm sits on the engine to help disappate the heat. As for the coils I believe Dielectric would work

@@mrcliftondiablo you're welcome And, when you do the PCV Valve, make sure you either do the valve covers and gaskets or at least use a hot air gun. The pcv valve is inside the rear valve cover and is a pain to get out

@@CameronDC-Grimes you'll have to find what all circuits fuse 8 feeds from and pull each fuse one by one. Put an ammeter in its place and where the 5 amps comes from is your bogey

@@adventureoflinkmk2 it's the fuse 8 underneath steering wheel. Online diagram says it has: Overhead Console, Rear Wiper, ip lights, rear flipper glass solenoid. But I can't find the problem. How should I test each component. Should I test it with power still to them and use voltage drop. Or should I remove power and use resistance (honestly don't know how I'd do resistance on something I don't think I can reach from beginning to end of circuit. But I was under the impression fuse 8 was the same circuit I don't have the wiring diagram. What would cause a drain on battery when cars off but not blow a fuse. Most of fuse #8 is not on when key-off like: IP lights (which is missing 7 warning light bulbs) overhead console is off with key off, that just leaves: Rear Wiper and rear flipper glass solenoid (whatever that is) Unless you can think of something that doesn't blow a fuse that continuously draws 5A

@@CameronDC-Grimes I'd see about removing that fuse and putting an ammeter in its place. Both with the key out and the key in run As for diagrams, maybe the library has access to Mitchell's or all data or something

​@@adventureoflinkmk2 hello, than you for this video. I also tried to work on my radio and while splicing the 12v wire, it accidentally touched the body causing a short.. I checked the IOD fuse with a multimeter and it has 4 ohms of resistance.. took it out, looks ok to me. Everything is working but the speakers.. the subwoofer is also working.. I'm loosing hope. Don't know what to do. I've been working with this, 2013 lancer ex, over a week. Pls help. Tia

You could if ya want, heck in 2014 I started a built system with 32gb ram lol However, unless you can get windows 11 or a good Linux to run on this keep in mind that windows 10 runs out of support in a couple years I believe

Hmm. Imo anything newer than gtx 1650 may be bottle necked by the cpu. That said, if it's for your studies the internal graphics should get ya through

Yeah egr tube cleaned justin case. The pressure from the spray straw was more than enough to get most crud out, however you could use pipe cleaners or toothbrushes, no harm in it imo

Thing is, when you're done with the carb cleaner you'll wanna spray brakleen or similar on after since the carb cleaner leaves a film behind

Good question... I say run it with the fuel pump disconnected and run the lines dry, then try running it with the fuel pump running. Since the lines are now dry you may have to put the vehicle in run for five seconds, turn off, put it in run for five seconds, turn off and put it in run and then start it. See what happens.

Probably because Japanese cars don't have flood clear mode. I know Toyota doesn't

Hey Q: If you have a pci card for sata and xp requires IDE T to work can you or do you need to turn off another function to make it work. I have xp-11 and linux also. I know the bios has the IDE feature to switch to but is there something else to get it started? Can you confirm that? Thanks.

@@johnreissiger4043 I've never personally messed with IDE or Sata expansion cards, so I dunno. I do know windows xp may need a sata driver upon install tho

Simple, this'll open a can of worms however.. I sprayed carb cleaner near that area, rpm changed and I took off the hose. Boom nice hole in the elbow

@@adventureoflinkmk2 I noticed the coolant was lookin pretty dirty despite a fresh top up, so I think when I topped it up (it was very low) it let loose some old sealant and either plugged the radiator or thermostat up, either way it's definitely not running coolant properly and its gotta be from filling it up somehow that's the only change. She's been running fine for about 100 miles with no real change in driving behaviour
